This Refund Policy explains your rights when cancelling a Chord Social subscription or requesting a refund.
1. Monthly Membership (£6/month)
1.1 Cancellation
You may cancel your monthly membership at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain full access to the Service until that date.
1.2 Refunds
We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods already charged. If you cancel mid-month, you will not be charged again, but the current month is non-refundable.
1.3 Exceptions
If you have been charged in error (e.g. due to a technical fault on our end), contact us at legal@chordsocial.com within 14 days and we will investigate and refund where appropriate.
2. Founding Membership (£99 lifetime)
2.1 30-Day Refund Window
If you purchase a Founding Membership and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase by emailing legal@chordsocial.com with the subject line "Founding Membership Refund Request" and your registered email address. We will process eligible refunds within 10 working days.
2.2 After 30 Days
After the 30-day window, Founding Membership payments are non-refundable. Founding Membership is a lifetime product — it does not expire and is not subject to future price increases.
2.3 Account Termination
If your account is terminated by Chord Social for a serious violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, you are not entitled to a refund of any Founding Membership payment.
3. Complimentary Accounts
Complimentary accounts are provided free of charge. No payment is taken and no refund is applicable.
4. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable UK consumer protection legislation. If you believe you have a statutory right to a refund that is not covered by this policy, contact us at legal@chordsocial.com.

- Your registered email address
- Your Chord username
- The reason for your refund request
- Subject line: "Refund Request"
We will respond within 5 working days.
